In every company or agency, social media management is always a team effort. Luckily, with Vista Social, it is super easy and takes the stress off of assigning your work elsewhere.

Once you have all your team members invited into Vista Social account, you can now start taking team collaboration to the next level and get things done a whole lot quicker by assigning specific work to your team members. Once you’re in your Vista Social account, in your dashboard, head over to the task section. As always, on the left-hand side, you have your profile selector which allows you to choose which profiles you want your tasks to be set to as well as which profile group the task belongs to. This also indicates which team member you will be able to assign the task.

Once you selected your profiles, you can go ahead and create a new task. Head over to the top right corner and click on new task. Here’s where the magic happens. First, click on the team member you’d like to assign this to and then what type of task it is. You’ll see three different options in the drop down menu.

  • General task
This allows you to get creative with managing your team’s goals, whether you want them to create a post for a specific day or to send a report by the end of the month, the power is in your hand.
  • Sales leads
Some examples are messages from a potential lead or someone requesting information on a product from a social inbox.
  • Support issues
Some examples are technical issues or billing concerns.

Once you’ve selected the category, you can leave a note for your team member to have some insight on what needs to be done. You can also check off the high priority tag to make sure that the member knows it needs to be done as soon as possible. Click on save and you’re all set.

On your dashboard, you’ll be able to see four different sections: your open tasks, your open priority tasks, your closed tasks and all the tasks set within your account. If you click on one of them, you’ll be able to see the details and activity. Here, you can add comments and communicate with your accountant. You’ll also be able to select closed once you’ve completed the task.
